Bands, Bands, Bands

Though the DIY way of making music was well established when I was in my larval stage, I considered making music a group activity, like sex or rioting. Being in a band and all the things that went along with it became a huge part of my life: writing, recording, rehearsing, gigs, road trips, and getting stupid in the dressing room. I was too young to do anything in NYC in the mid-'70s but by 1980 a very similar moment happened in Boston and I was there for it.
